Virginia’s budget woes better than most states

Future energy debate already charged

ALEXANDRIA, Va.- Making Virginia the energy capital of the East will be Gov. Bob McDonnell’s message this week as he hosts a conference, but what kind of energy will be coming to the Commonwealth is still unclear.
 

McDonnell will host nearly 800 leaders from many sectors of the energy industry, from advocates for wind farms to T. Boone Pickens, an energy tycoon. Pickens made his fortune in the oil and gas industry, but has also invested in wind farms and advocated an end to dependence on foreign oil.
